Governor Newsom has extended price gouging protections in Butte, Napa, Santa Cruz, Sonoma, Fresno, Lassen, Mendocino, Monterey, Shasta, Siskiyou, Solano, Trinity and Tulare County.
Price gouging happens when the price of goods and services increases after an emergency. These protections will stop retailers from increasing their prices over 10%.
Protection will be in effect until September 22, 2021.
