The City of Oakland will work with small business owners that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. To mitigate the economic impacts caused by the COVID-19 pandemic , the City’s Revenue Bureau, Finance Department will waive late payment penalties for small businesses resulting from failure to file taxes due March 2, 2020 on time due to COVID-19. The waiver applies to only 2020 taxes and for businesses generating less than $250,000 in annual gross receipts.
